Items grouped by role—vision, pressure, economy—so you can skim what exists before opening the full item atlas.
Grace items aren’t “loot” in the traditional sense. They’re closer to tools that change your information and your decision speed: how early you see a threat, how confidently you move through darkness, and how you recover when a room turns ugly.
This guide is written for skimming. It gives you a mental model of the item system first, then a full dataset you can browse when you need exact wording and art.
Information beats reaction time. Most deaths look like “I reacted too late,” but the real problem is “I saw it too late.” Vision items (cone light, area light, wearable vision) exist to buy you one extra second.
Utility items reduce chaos, not difficulty. Throwables and special tools are mostly about resetting a bad state (on you or a teammate) or enabling a specific interaction. They rarely replace clean movement, but they can make runs more consistent.
Economy is lobby-first. In Grace, “progression” usually means unlocking cosmetics/traits and buying shop items. You’ll see several currencies because they gate different categories of unlocks.
If you’re new, prioritize reliable light first so you stop losing runs to unseen corners. Avoid overcomplicating your loadout. One good vision tool beats three niche items you forget to use.
If you’re learning speed, choose tools that reduce your need to slow down. Clear sightlines let you keep momentum and take better angles. Treat “speed boost” items as bonuses, not a plan. Your baseline speed should come from movement.
If you play with friends, team utility is valuable because it turns “someone died” into “we stabilized and kept going.”
Buying based on thumbnails. Some items look cool but play awkwardly. Read the “usage” line first.
Confusing currencies. Keys, Super Keys, Bricks, and other tokens don’t all buy the same thing. If you’re saving for a specific unlock, confirm which currency it consumes before you grind.
Names that show up a lot: Flashlight, Lantern, S.H.A.K.E., Gleam, B.R.I.C.K., Doombringer (Joey), Bricks, Keys / Super Keys, Skin Can, Trait Charms, Notes.

Flashlight
This is my go-to tool for exploring dark rooms. It stores light in a bulb and illuminates everything in front of me with a pretty good range. When I flicker it right at certain entities, I can scram or vanquish them. It even doubles as a fidget toy! The light inside comes from Him, and it's His gift to me.
Note: I use it to light up the area in front of me, flash certain entities, and spin it when I'm bored.
Lantern
This lantern stores light in a glass dome and illuminates everything around me in a warm orange tint, though the range is smaller than the flashlight. Its flicker is delayed but works just like the flashlight's. It's perfect for seeing around corners, and I love how it makes the room feel cozy. Even though it's made of glass, I've never seen one break. The light inside is His gift to me.
Note: I use it to light up the area around me and flash certain entities when they get too close.
S.H.A.K.E.
SIGHT. HEIGHTENING. APPARATUS OF. KINETIC. ENERGY. This device reverses polarity to create light from darkness. I have to shake my camera to keep it charged, but I can hold other items while wearing it since it stays on my head. It shows me the way through the dark, just like He does, and it's His gift to me.
Note: It gives me night vision, but it wears off when the battery dies. I have to shake my camera to restore battery life. I need to take it off to avoid Kookoo's attack - if it hits me while I'm wearing it, it will absorb the hit but temporarily cover my screen with blue like Slight and Heed. Then Kookoo will attack again faster, and it can kill me if I'm not careful.
Doombringer (Referred to as Joey when purchasing skins)
The only thing I can say about this is: DON'T.
Note: It screeches every so often and will explode to kill me if I don't close its mouth in time. Unlike the modifier version, if I stop its attack successfully, I get a temporary speed boost. This makes the 'Cheesed to meet you!' modifier basically free too.
Gleam
DEPTHS of NARROW LOVE 12mm SUPPRESSED. This weapon stores light in a fine beam that illuminates the path it hits. When I hold it, it reveals targets that give everyone a speed boost when destroyed with one of its 9 bullets. There's a lot of darkness around, but this light shines strong. Its light and love come from Him, and it's His gift to me.
Note: It gives off a small beam of light and lets me shoot Target Cells and Zombers to get a speed boost for everyone.
B.R.I.C.K
"I. DONT. KNOW. THE. ACRONYM. Yet."
I hold it and charge it up, then throw it to launch myself forward. If I throw it at someone else, it sets their thoughts straight. Each throw costs me a brick, but it's worth it for the utility.
Note: I throw it at targets to clear Slight and Heed from other players. According to a server message hint I found, it can also get rid of Elkman, Heed, and Slight. It was added in the latest update.
Keys
I get one every 5 levels I gain.
Note: I use them to buy cosmetics in the lobby.
Super Keys
I get one every 50 levels I gain.
Note: I use them to buy super cosmetics in the lobby.
